This is the riveting first-person narrative of Kvothe, a young man who grows to be one of the most notorious magicians his world has ever seen. From his childhood in a troupe of traveling players, to years spent as a near-feral orphan in a crime-riddled city, to his daringly brazen yet successful bid to enter a legendary school of magic, The Name of the Wind is a masterpiece that transports readers into the body and mind of a wizard. *posted by Amazon

My sister introduced me to this book. She called just to tell me to download and listen to it. Thinking I could wait until I got around to it she informed me it was worth getting sooner than later. I gave in and got the book on Audible so I could listen while I did mundane things. Slowly the author pulls you in until you are hooked. I almost felt like I was put under Patricks Rothfuss spell. He takes your mind for a ride! I cannot wait to read the next book in the Kingkiller Chronicles!!!
