Calmness in our lives

I am passing this on to you because it definitely works, and we could all
use a little more calmness in our lives. By following simple advice heard
on the Dr. Phil show, you too can find inner peace.

Dr. Phil proclaimed,"The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and have never finished."

So, I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't
finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a
bottle of Merlot, a bottle of White Zinfandel, a bottle of Bailey's, Irish Cream, a
bottle of Kahula, a package of Oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac
prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos and a box of
chocolates!!!!

You have no idea how freaking good I feel.

Please pass this on to those whom you think might be in need of inner peace.

Not sure where this is going to end up, because I thought I had begun a new thread <ouch <LOL>>.

Anyway, what I was going to ask is this:

Does anyone in here laugh at their own jokes? 'Cause I do, I can almost curl up with laughter, at something I consider is funny. When I look up, I find people looking at me as though I am crazy <do not say it!>.

I once sold pictures at markets and they were absolutely beautiful pictures, animals, planes, sunsets all that sort of thing. I was stood by an open door on a very cold day. This woman said to me, Have you a picture of a Giraffe?. I said, no, but there is a hell of a giraffe (draft) in here and then I laughed. I happened to glance up at her and she was looking at me so straight faced, I laughed even more.

I was looking at Starmist's profile and it reminded me of this little episode.

(Hope this gets out, my computer, Fang, is dying in slow agonizing stages. The shop said he was essentially DOA and I need a new computer. Looks like several weeks<sigh>)

Apart from health, I can think of very little else that could be worse. Unless of course you could include my ex who has decided he's had enough of landscaping my garden and left me holding the baby <sigh>. So what's new? I will survive. I have plenty of plans up my sleeves anyway <g>.

Do you think your computer needs some old registrations cleared out of its system? I did this with my lap top and gave it a new lease of life!

Never depend on others!!! They'll let you down every time. If you want it done, do it yourself - a sad and sorry fact of life!

Nope, it's gone far beyond clearing out. They tell me it's "... a slow progressive failure related to age, a faulty chip set and poor installation of Widows XP." Now I know why the people I bought parts from went out of business!

Are you going to re build it yourself? Apart from which I notice Dell have some good offers, or did the other day.

Be careful about Dell. Husband worked for them, and they are not the best to deal with anymore.

They closed all the kiosk's... or most of them. On February, first those who worked at a kiosk had an early morning call... to tell them they no longer had a job to go to, and that the kiosk had been torn down overnight. Also, a ton of people in the call centers we laid off in much the same manner.

There is alot they do not tell customers... so just be careful. I do not mean to be a negative nelly... but I do not think I will ever buy Dell again after what we saw

Oh thanks for that info'. Although I have to say I have two of their computers and they have been great. However, I have heard of people having problems.

No, my days of computer building are over. Several years out of date and waning interest in the nuts and bolts. More interested now in getting at the varieties of and in life. So am having a powerful beast custom made. Should take a few weeks. Hope Fang lasts that long. I can read NAS and NAL but can't get in to post! He seems to be losing more every day.
