    Hi all,

Here's the "how to" for adding graphics to your messages. There are several ways you can do this and I'll try to create a "video" clip showing you as soon as I get a minute. In the meantime, here goes :)

Most message boards use code called BBCode which allows you to insert certain things in your messages. Take a look at this message for an idea BBCodes you can use.

    1) You can open a free image storing account with Photobucket and then copy the codes they give you to include an image in your message.

This image shows you the button to push on the editor when you're creating a message and you want to add a picture that is stored on Photobucket (or another image hosting service of your choice).

Please note: Please do not link to pictures on other people's websites if you don't have their permission to do so, this is called "hotlinking" and web site owners frown on this tremendously because it "steals" their bandwidth.

    2) You can add an image as an attachment by scrolling down this page to "Manage Attachments". Clicking this will open a window where you can browse your computer and find the pictures you want to add. Once you've posted your message these images will show as thumbnails on the bottom of it - clicking them will open the full size image.

    3) To insert an image into the body of your message from your computer follow the instructions in (2) and then click on the paperclip in the editor (see image below)

This will show you the images you have attached and allow you to copy them (by clicking on them) into the body of your message.

I *think* I've covered the main ways of doing it but please yell if it doesn't make sense. It's easy when you know how which makes it quite difficult trying to explain it.

Here's another link to using standard BBCodes which may also help you. BBCodes.

    Freda,

If you want to keep messages so you can go back to them click on "Thread Tools" and click "Subscribe to this thread". It will take you to another screen where you can select whether or not you want to be notified of further messages posted to the thread or not. Make your selection and then click "Add Subscription".

When clicking on the Annoucements Forum you will now see that message "Tagged" at the top of the list so you don't lose it. :)

You can do this with any/all threads that you want to keep track of. You can also find a list of all your tagged threads by clicking on your User CP and selecting "List all subscriptions" from the list on the left. :)

No excuses left now LOL! I really do recommend Photobucket though, you can store all your graphics and pictures that you want to either use here in the messages or just to store so you don't lose them. :)

I have a very good one... two actually! I am preggers, and I think it cut off the blood to my brain hehe... and what power that is left in there is taken by a verrrrrrry active 2 year old lol.

I now dream of trying to fall asleep... and other disturbing pregnant dreams. Looking forward to that part stopping.

    Freda,

Did you try the message tagging and if you did, did it work to keep the message at the top of the list?
