    i would love to no more about thanks giving and wot its all about i didnt learn about it in skool i no its something to do with pilgrims but thats about all i no . i feel very ignorant and woould love to no about it in more detail

    Well, I'll give you the condensed version as I know it. The "Pilgrams" who were living in what is now known as New England in northeast US were having very little luck with growing crops from seeds they brought over and were dying off very quickly. The local Indians taught the white men what crops to grow and how to grow them as well as how to hunt for game. In autumn of 1621, after a bountiful harvest, a 3 day feast was thrown to give thanks, but it was not until 1863 that the 3rd thursday in November was designated "Thanksgiving Day" by Abraham Lincoln.
