Someone told me, the other day, that her dog had cancer of the mouth. She took it to the vet, who wouldn't operate, however, the vet put it on antibiotics. Now this is something we both felt was very interesting. The vet said, to sprinkle turmeric on the dogs food, as it is supposed to cure cancer. Now, neither of us had ever heard of this before.

The vet also said that one of her clients had a cat, with cancer, she gave her pet tumeric and the cancer cleared.

Has anyone else heard of this alternative herbal medicine. It seems that it grows in India and belongs to the ginger family.

turmeric belongs in the 'curry' family. It is very effective for curing burns... that is one reason everyone should have yellow mustard in their medicine cabinet hehe. Not Dijon btw, it has no turmeric... the regular yellow mustard contains turmeric, that is where it gets its pretty color.

Turmeric is very good for stomach ailments, halitosis, eczema, acne, boils, and many other ailments. Here is a link for some recipes to make home remedies.

This is the article I found regarding it's healing properties and cancer. Mind you there is other reasearch out there... but this is a good start :)
